Itinerary Description |
Whether it's the bustling cities or the remote Serengeti, there are plenty of things in Tanzania waiting to be explored. Start your adventure in Zanzibar, a Tanzanian archipelago off the coast of East Africa. Explore Stone Town, a historic trade center with Swahili and Islamic influences, and its winding lanes while marveling at the unique mix of 19th century architecture. Spend an afternoon snorkeling with the giant tortoises at Prison Island before heading back to the mainland. A trip to Tanzania wouldn’t be complete without a Serengeti Safari or hike on Mount Kilimanjaro (the tallest mountain in Africa)! Expect to see zebras and wildebeests, meet some lions and with some luck glimpse at the rare rhinos. |
