Itinerary Description |
This Random Walk will give you a little taste of history, culture, wine and adventure. With home base being in Yerevan, the capital of Armenia and one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited cities, each day will be a new experience in and outside of the city. Get to know the city with a guided tour of Yerevan, followed by a Brandy Factory Tour and Tasting. Continue the experience with an excursion to Zvartnots Ruins and the Echmiadzin Cathedral and ending the day with a wine tour, lunch and tasting at Van Ardi Winery. Enjoy the views of Lake Sevan relaxing on your private catamaran. Towards the end of your program, travel to Kotayk province to explore the cave monastery of Geghard and the pagan temple of Garni. Geghard is a UNESCO world heritage site in Armenia and is an incredible medieval Armenia monastery. Finish the afternoon with a hike of the Gorge of the Azat River to view the famous “Symphony of Stones” basalt columns. Something for everyone on this unique Random Walk to Armenia! |
